As from 1st February the Board of the EM Gauge Society has abolised the joining fee.
Annual subscription includes initial issue of the EMGS 250+ page manual on CD plus you will receive interim paper updates. Membership is as follows:- UK £15.00 Europe and the rest of the World £20.00 Optional extra Supply of a paper version of the EMGS Manual. The payment covers the supply of a printed copy instead of the CD version. UK £7.00 Europe £12.00 Rest of the World £18.00 Steve Young

This is the first increase in price since these items were introduced. Our supplier has made yet a second increase in prices and the postage they charge. Fortunately I managed to secure a good stock during a promotion and will be not increasing our prices to you during 2012.
Maximum postage per order is £2.00.
I will be attending all EMGS events.

I do hope to be able to offer a DVD at a special price at expoEM 2012.

Dapol Class 22 Conversion |

Are you a modern era modeller? Would you like to run a Class 22 on layout? If so, them you might be interested in a set wheels for the loco. We are trying to find what level of interest there is in Ultrascale wheel sets such a conversion. If there is a reasonable level of interest then we will feed that back to Ultrascale to see if they will do such a conversion set.

Build a Turnout the Retford Way at this year’s expoEM on 20-21 May 2012
at The Bracknell Leisure Centre
Roy Jackson and John McCrea will be running a track building workshop at expoEM 2012 aimed at the beginner. Participants will build a turnout using the copperclad sleeper construction method that Roy has used on Retford. The workshop will run on Saturday afternoon (1.30pm – 4.30pm) and repeated on the Sunday morning (10.30am – 1.30pm).
Places are very limited and will be offered strictly on a first-come-first-served basis. Booking details will be in the forthcoming Newsletter and after publication will also be available on this website. Successful applicants will then be asked for payment in advance to confirm the place.
The fee of £20.00 will include the following materials:
Mounted re-useable turnout template
Pre-made crossing Vee
Rail
Sleeper strip.
Participants will be required to bring with them a soldering iron, solder and other basic hand tools needed for construction. Successful applicants will be provided with a full list and all items will be available to purchase at expoEM from Eileens Emporium and the EMGS Trade Stores. |

Over the last few weeks I have received a number of enquiries from EMGS members expressing an interest, in a ready supply of 3mm Diameter Locomotive Axles, used in the conversion process from RTR stock to EM gauge.
The wait is over, we have received a large consignment of 3mm precision ground steel axles, that are now in stock for immediate delivery.
The axles are 22.4mm long and chamfered at both ends, a ready made product for your next EM conversion project, a snip at £1.50p for a pack of 10.
