Comet Models offer a range of almost 200 coaches representing the period from early 1920's to the 1980's.

replacement loco chassis packs and components. Romford (Markits) wheels and accessories. Mashima motors. Gearboxes and flywheels. Kits for LMS and some BR tenders, plus separate tender chassis and components. Complete loco kits for LMS/BR Rebuilt Scot 4-6-0, 8F 2-8-0, Caprotti Class Five 4-6-0 with low running plate, Ivatt Class 2  2-6-0.

The next new coach kits from Comet Models will be the WR Hawksworth auto trailer.  The prototype was built in two lots (in 1951 and 1954) and there were four Diagrams.  The differences were confined to the interior layout.  In service they operated over many sections of the WR particularly on branch lines.    Now available:

Also just released is the LMS 69' Sleeper composite. The LMS 69' 12-wheeled sleeper composite was built to diagram D1947 in 1936 and thirteen such coaches were produced.  They remained in service until 1964.

July 2007 Announcements: Another gearbox has been added to the range (ref GB5). This is a compact two-stage gearbox designed for use with motors having fixing hole centres from 8mm to 10mm.  It can be used on its own in small locomotives where space is at a premium.  In this form the gear ratio is 38:1.  The centre of the worm to that of the driven axle is only 12.57mm and the width of the body 7.5mm.
